“No-one relishes the thought of going to the dentist, especially when your tooth has seemingly broken in half! Anxiously I went to see Dra. Dina Martins, who I have known for years, to assess the damage. As expected there was not enough tooth left, it had to come out, and be replaced – horrors! Session 1 was to remove what was left, stitch it up, and revisit the gap some weeks later to measure up for the replacement. Amazingly given the location in the back of my mouth it came out painlessly – much to the amazement of friends and colleagues…and more importantly there was no pain after the procedure…none. I was warned (by friends) that the pain would come after Sessions 2 & 3 when the ……was drilled into my jaw bone to be the anchor for the new Implant, but again no pain, and I mean none. Again I was warned by friends that I wouldn´t be able to drive after the implant, not be able to work, but when I shared my anxiety with Dra. Dina she assured me I would feel no pain. I write this note for those of you who might be anxious about this procedure. For those of you who don´t know Dra. I recently had an extraction and two implants at HD Clinic. The work was done probably at a higher level than in my native country where dentistry is usually rushed and expensive. It doesn't hurt that the staff at HD Clinic all speak English fluently. I'm very happy to have had such an excellent experience. I strongly recommend the clinic.
