WHAT IS A DEVITALIZATION?
Endodontic treatment, also known as root canal treatment, consists of accessing the inside of the tooth to disinfect and seal the root canal system, where the nerve and blood vessels of the tooth are located. Devitalization is a non-painful treatment, where the patient is always comfortable during it. This procedure is normally the option for tooth extraction and is performed when the tooth is very destroyed by decay, wear, fractures or trauma that compromise the vitality of the tooth, causing a lot of pain and consequently nerve death.
With the help of new technologies, the Dentist is able to clean the channels that make up the tooth, so that they can then be filled with a biocompatible material.

The 1st moment when the Dentist assesses the patient's situation. In this consultation, radiographs and clinical diagnostic exams are performed, with the aim of evaluating the state of the nerve of the tooth.
