Jaw Joint Physiotherapy

Do you experience jaw pain, clicking when opening your mouth, frequent headaches, or tension in your face and neck?

Jaw Joint Physiotherapy (TMJ Physiotherapy) is a specialised approach to the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the jaw joint, the chewing muscles and the surrounding structures.

This treatment is recommended for people experiencing jaw pain, clicking or popping when opening or closing the mouth, difficulty chewing, limited mouth opening, headaches, or tension in the face and neck. Following an individual assessment, the physiotherapist develops a personalised treatment plan that may include manual therapy, specific exercises, pain management techniques and patient education.

The aim is to reduce pain, improve joint function, restore mobility and enhance quality of life. Treatment is often provided in collaboration with the dental team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
